If the filter fails, the Eaglestar fuel pump can show errors in measurement. To prevent this, we recommend regular cleaning and maintenance of the filter.
Steps:
- Before cleaning, stop the Eaglestar petrol pump and cut off power. Prepare tools: wrench, detergent, soft brush, clean cloth, and a filling container.
- Place the fuel container under the filter, remove the nut, and take out the filter mesh and sealing gaskets.
- Clean the coarse and fine meshes with detergent and a soft brush. If possible, flush with low-pressure water from inside to outside to remove impurities.
- Wipe dry with a clean cloth, then air-dry or dry at low temperature.
- Inspect sealing gaskets for damage (replace if necessary), and remove impurities from the spring, cover, and other parts.
- Install a sealing gasket on the outlet small mesh, then fit the large mesh and its gasket, and place them into the filter housing.
- Mount the spring: large end on the cover, small end on the bottom of the small mesh. Align the cover holes with studs and tighten the nut. Note: The word "Filter" on the cover must face upward.
- Restart and test for leaks. If leakage occurs, tighten the nut further; if it persists, replace the large sealing ring on the cover.
