Installation Steps For Fuel Tank Level Gauge

Lift up the rear seats and remove the fuel tank cover.
Locate behind the passenger seat and remove the oil pump and its half assembly. Before disassembly, ensure that the fuel in the fuel tank has been completely emptied, which can be achieved through manual pumping or siphoning.
Disconnect the negative cable of the battery and remove the carpet from the trunk for further operation.
Unscrew the device that secures the fuel tank gasket and separate the electrical wiring connector from the sensor.
Open the refueling port of the fuel tank and use a wooden stick or tree branch to roughly determine the position of the sensor and the partition inside the fuel tank. Once the position is determined, use a drill bit to create a suitable hole in the fuel tank.
Place the sensor into the fuel tank from the refueling port and securely fix the wire harness end of the sensor with wire. The installation position should be selected in the middle of the fuel tank to avoid overlapping with the original position of the oil float.
