The installation of a new fuel dispenser is a critical step that directly affects long-term performance, operational safety, and compliance. Proper inspection and preparation before putting the equipment into service are essential to ensure smooth operations and avoid potential hazards. Below are key areas that require attention during the installation process:

- Foundation and Piping Alignment
For submersible pump dispensers, the dispenser inlet must be hard-connected and precisely aligned with the inlet shown on the official foundation layout drawing. Any deviation may cause misalignment, increasing the risk of leaks or component failure.
- Shut-off Valve Installation
When installing the shut-off valve:
Apply thread sealant on threaded pipe ends to ensure a tight, leak-proof connection.
On flanged ends, always install a seal gasket and a copper bonding strap to ensure proper grounding and electrical continuity.
After installation, check the large connection nut on the upper part of the shut-off valve. If it is loose, tighten it securely with a wrench to prevent fuel leakage.
- Built-in Pump Type Dispensers
For dispensers with integrated pumps using corrugated hoses, minor positional deviations between the dispenser inlet and foundation will not affect connection. However, ensure:
Sealing gaskets and grounding straps are properly installed at the triangle flange connection.
The hose is not twisted or over-stressed, which could lead to cracks or leaks.
- Fuel Hose and Nozzle Inspection
Before use, inspect both ends of the nozzle hose for any looseness. During packaging and transport, hoses are coiled and tightly secured between the dispenser body and computer box. Prolonged pressure and transportation vibrations may cause joints to loosen. Always tighten these fittings again before operation.
- Dispenser Exterior and Safety Checks
Conduct a full inspection of the machine:
Ensure warning labels and safety seals are intact and properly displayed.
Look for any signs of physical damage, deformation, or tampering.
Check all external components and panels for alignment and secure fitting.
