When using a fuel tank level gauge, the following basic principles and operating steps should be followed to ensure accurate measurement and safe use:

Follow the instruction manual: Carefully read the instruction manual of the liquid level gauge to understand its working principle, operating method, and safety precautions. Detailed installation, usage, and maintenance guidelines are usually provided in the manual.

Safe operation:

Before operating the liquid level gauge, the static charge of the human body should be released first to avoid the influence of static electricity on the liquid level gauge.
Ensure that the liquid level gauge and its supporting equipment (such as anti surge regulator and series photoelectric isolator) are in good working condition, and report for repair immediately if damaged.
In thunderstorm weather, the power should be cut off to stop the operation of the liquid level gauge.
When replacing the power supply or starting the diesel generator, the power supply of the level gauge control console must be disconnected to prevent unstable power supply from affecting the normal operation of the level gauge.

Correct installation:

The liquid level gauge should be installed in a location that is easy to observe, usually near the oil injection port, in order to observe the liquid level during oil injection.
For different types of level gauges (such as magnetostrictive level gauges, ultrasonic level gauges, etc.), installation requirements vary and should be installed according to the specific model instructions. For example, the installation of ultrasonic level gauges should avoid facilities inside the tank, maintain a distance from the container wall, and ensure that the measurement direction is perpendicular to the liquid level.

Maintenance and upkeep:

Regularly check whether the liquid level gauge and its connecting components are loose or damaged, and promptly tighten or replace them.
Regularly clean and maintain the liquid level gauge according to its type and usage environment to maintain its accuracy and reliability.
By following these basic principles and operating steps, the correct use and safe operation of the fuel tank level gauge can be ensured, thereby effectively monitoring the liquid level in the fuel tank.
