The inspection and maintenance of the fuel dispenser should be carried out during the low peak period of the fuel station operation to avoid accidents, affecting the fueling efficiency and service quality, and turn off the corresponding fuel dispenser power. Place ice cream cones around the tanker for isolation and warning. After opening the tanker cover, place the tanker cover flat on the ground. Note that the cover should be placed within the isolation area and cannot block the driveway.
The specific operations are as follows:
- Wipe to ensure cleanliness. The internal and external parts of the dispenser should be wiped daily to ensure cleanliness and no oil stains. Especially the oil gun, hose, internal oil, gauge and connecting pipeline. The purpose of wiping clean is not only aesthetics, but more importantly, it can be found in time when oil leakage occurs. Imagine if there are accumulated oil pollution everywhere in the tanker, who can find out even if there is a leakage?
- Check the display screen and keyboard. The numbers displayed on the display should be clear, the backlight should glow normally, and the keys on the keyboard should be sensitive. If the display screen fails, it is very easy to cause customers to disagree with the oil added, and then cause complaints. If the keyboard fails, it is easy to cause the wrong quantity of oil to be set and cause disputes and lawsuits.
- Check the sight glass. The sight glass should be filled with oil, and there should be no leakage. If bubbles are found in the sight glass, it means that a certain part of the tanker pipeline is leaking. In this case, refueling will result in inaccurate metering of the tanker, which will lead to customer complaints or even loss. Therefore, if bubbles are found in the sight glass, the fuel dispenser should be stopped immediately, and the maintenance personnel should be notified to arrange for the fuel dispenser to be overhauled.
- Check the motor belt. When checking the belt, it is mainly to check whether the elasticity is appropriate and whether the appearance is damaged. If the belt is too loose, it will cause slow or no oil output; too tight will cause the tanker to vibrate and increase noise. If the appearance is damaged, it will easily lead to sudden breakage, which will cause the tanker to fail to work and affect the normal operation of the gas station.
- Clean the filter screen. The cleaning of the filter does not have to be done every day, and the frequency of cleaning should vary from station to station. Generally speaking, new stations or new pipelines should be cleaned weekly, and gas stations that have been in operation for more than three months should be cleaned monthly.
- Self-inspection of the fuel pump machine.
